Jake says the darndest things!
Yesterday Jake and I were hanging out on the couch having quite the conversation. He seriously cracks me up all the time!! Here was the jist of the conversation.
Me: Guess what?! When mom and dad go to the beach I'm going to stay at your house and take care of Felix.
Jake: Um....I think that Jenny will do a better job than you Bec.
Me: Really? Why is that?
Jake: Well Felix will probably jump up on you and get your glasses and he'll chew on them and break them.
Me: Oh good call. Well maybe Jen will want to come with me.
Jake: Probably not.
Me: Okay, well somebody needs to stay there and take care of Felix.
Jake: Well he can just bark at the bad guys.
Me: And protect me? (Jake gives me a confused look) Oh, you mean he can protect himself?
Jake: Yeah! And I'll protect you here at Grammy and Poppy's house and Poppy can help me and Beebs is a real good fighter (while punching the air) and so he can help too!
Me: Well that sounds like a good plan! Maybe I'll just watch Felix in the day and stay the night here.
Jake: Yeah, 'cuz I'm gonna do this! (Continuing to make punches and kicks in the air...starting to beak out into a child sized sweat.) And if the bad guys want me to, I'll smack them right in the face!
Oh my little four year old hero!! He is so the little love of my life! :)
